The course Business Administration focuses on a systemic, process-oriented understanding of management, organisation and environment. Students learn about the main tasks and the creation of value in management. Lectures, exercises and independent studies are based on the St.Gallen Management Model (SGMM). This is intended as a conceptual frame of reference that allows us to understand the most important relationships between organisation, environment and management. The SGMM intends to help classify today's management challenges within their complex historical and situational embeddedness in a meaningful way.
In the first year, particular emphasis is laid on market and customer-oriented aspects of management (Autumn and Spring Semester) and the basics of financial management and accounting (Spring Semester).
